Anna works in English (A), French (B), and Spanish (C)* and handles the following combinations:

Simultaneous/consecutive interpreting: French into English, English into French, Spanish into English

Translation: French/Spanish into English

Editing: English only

 

* The following system is used to classify an interpreter’s working languages.

A language: The interpreter’s native language into which he/she interprets.

B language: A language of which the interpreter has full mastery but that is not a native language. It is considered an active language into which the interpreter can interpret.

C language: A passive language that the interpreter understands fully. An interpreter interprets from a C language into an active language (usually A), but not the other way around.
